I definitely think this design looks better on the white shirt, and I think it would have looked good on red as well. Since a lot of the design is black/dark gray, it stands out better when there's more contrast. I love how the bright blue pops against the dark background, but the dark details get a bit lost. I would suggest putting a white border around it for the black shirt, like one of those abstract ones that has odd shapes popping out of it.
Anyways, good job! I like how you incorporated all sorts of music into it.
